ClassVal vs Aniko: Which SAT Prep Billing Model Fits Your Test Date?

Aniko prices SAT prep weekly by default and includes an AI tutor; ClassVal is free to start, then $5.99 a month. Compare plans and guarantees, October 2026.

Aniko and ClassVal are both Digital SAT practice platforms with a free way to start. The practical difference is the bill: Aniko shows its paid plans at weekly prices (with a monthly option), and ClassVal Premium is $5.99 a month. The right pick depends on how many weeks you plan to study and whether you want an AI tutor included.

Count the weeks between now and your SAT, then multiply by the weekly price. That is the first number to check before you compare features.

ClassVal publishes this post, so read it with that in mind. We describe Aniko only from what its own site says, we date every claim, and where Aniko is the better fit we say so. Prices and features change, so confirm everything on aniko.ai before you pay.

How We Compared These

ClassVal is the publisher of this post. The Aniko details come from Aniko's public pricing page, home page, score guarantee page and free question bank page, which we read in October 2026. The ClassVal details come from our own product and Premium page. We did not buy or test any Aniko plan, so this post covers what Aniko says it includes, not how well it works.

If we could not find something on Aniko's site, we say so. That is not the same as saying Aniko lacks it.

What Aniko Says It Offers

As of October 2026, Aniko describes itself as a personalized SAT preparation platform and lists an AI tutor, adaptive practice, a personalized study plan, full-length practice tests, progress tracking, free SAT resources and a score guarantee for eligible students.

Its pricing page shows a toggle between weekly and monthly billing, labeled "Monthly (save ~40%)". The prices we could read were the weekly ones:

  • Free: a "limited Free plan." We could not find its limits on the pricing page.
  • Essential, $10 a week: 500 practice questions a week, 3 practice tests a week, 50 AI tutor messages a week, detailed analytics, an error log and a built-in Desmos calculator.
  • Premium, $19 a week (marked Recommended): everything in Essential, plus unlimited questions (listed as 28,000+) and practice tests (listed as 200+), a personalized study plan, a real-time score estimate, unlimited AI tutor messages, pacing guidance and adaptive study sessions.
  • Unfair Advantage, $45 a week: everything in Premium plus access to what Aniko calls its most advanced AI tutor model.

Each paid plan shows a 3-day free trial and the words "Cancel anytime." Aniko also offers a free SAT question bank that its page says needs no registration and lists as 4,000+ questions, split between Reading and Writing and Math.

What ClassVal Offers

ClassVal is free to start. A free account gets 35 practice questions a day and one full-length adaptive test, plus the Map (a daily plan built from your results), the Lab (where missed questions wait until you answer them correctly) and a score estimate.

Premium costs $5.99 a month and lifts both free limits: questions per day and full-length tests. It also unlocks a skill-by-skill breakdown, session summaries and unlimited Coach chat. Cancel whenever you like; the plan runs to the end of the month already paid. ClassVal prepares you for the Digital SAT only.

Do the Weekly Math

Weekly billing makes a long runway expensive and a short one cheap. Using only the listed weekly prices, four weeks of Aniko Premium at $19 a week is $76, and four weeks of Essential at $10 a week is $40. One month of ClassVal Premium is $5.99. A month is a little over four weeks, so the real gap at weekly rates is slightly larger. Aniko's page says the monthly option saves about 40%, but we did not read a monthly price, so we do not compare monthly to monthly. Check Aniko's monthly price on its site.

That does not make the cheaper option the better one. Aniko's paid plans include features ClassVal does not have, such as a built-in AI tutor and a guarantee. If you have two weeks, are ready to pay, and want an AI tutor on every question, weekly billing can be the more sensible fit.

Which billing model tends to fit which situation. A judgment call, not a verified fact about either company.
Your situationWhat may fit
Test in two weeks, want maximum volumeAniko free question bank first; a weekly plan if you hit its limits
Two to four months of steady daily practiceA monthly plan, since weekly charges add up
Unsure you will keep goingStart on either free option; Aniko's paid plans offer a 3-day trial
You might pause between study burstsMonthly with cancel anytime, or weekly if you cancel promptly

Aniko's Score Guarantee, Described Plainly

Aniko has a score guarantee, and its terms are specific. ClassVal has no guarantee of any kind, so this is a real difference. According to Aniko's guarantee page in October 2026, the guarantee applies to Premium or higher (not Essential or free), requires access to start at least 14 days before the test, requires completing at least 90% of the assigned study plan before test day, and requires submitting an official College Board score report within 45 days of the test date.

The page says the guaranteed score is personalized, and a valid claim lets you choose a cash refund of subscription payments made in the final 3 months before the test, or 12 months of Aniko free. Read the full terms on Aniko's site before relying on it, because the conditions decide whether it would ever apply to you.

Where Aniko May Be the Better Pick

  • You want an AI tutor attached to your practice. Aniko lists tutor messages on every paid plan.
  • You want a big, free question bank with no signup. Its bank is listed as 4,000+ questions with explanations.
  • You want a guarantee and can meet its conditions. ClassVal offers none.
  • You are in a short, intense push and want the AI tutor. Weekly billing lets you stop after a week or two.

Where ClassVal May Be the Better Pick

  • You are studying for months. A flat $5.99 a month is easier to budget than a weekly charge.
  • You want missed questions to keep returning. The Lab holds each one until you get it right.
  • You want a plan that rebuilds daily. The Map adjusts to your results and your test date.
  • You want a free tier that works as a real trial. 35 questions a day and a full-length test cost nothing.

College Board's Bluebook app also has free official practice tests, and you can use it next to either tool.

What We Could Not Verify

  • The limits of Aniko's free plan, which its pricing page does not spell out.
  • Aniko's monthly prices. The page mentions a monthly toggle but we could only read weekly prices.
  • How the AI tutor or adaptive sessions perform. We did not test them and describe only what the page says.
  • Whether any Aniko price or limit has changed since we read the page.

A Four-Step Way to Choose

  1. Count your weeks. Write down your SAT date and the weeks left.
  2. Try both free options. Do one session in Aniko's question bank and one in ClassVal.
  3. Pay only for a limit you hit. If neither free option is slowing you down, do not pay.
  4. Confirm terms on the company's page. Check price, billing period and cancellation before you enter a card.
