Premium SAT prep should not require a premium price.

ClassVal is a free, adaptive SAT prep platform built by a high school student who wanted the same tools wealthy students pay for — but available to everyone.

Why this started

When I was preparing for the SAT, I kept running into the same choice: use a free resource that gave me an endless stream of practice questions with no real plan, or pay hundreds — sometimes thousands — of dollars for a tutor or course that actually adapted to me.

I could not afford the second option. So I started building the first one myself. ClassVal began as a way to give students like me a prep experience that listens, adjusts, and explains — without putting a price on a better score.

Our mission

To give premium test prep to those who cannot afford premium test prep.

That means adaptive study plans, an AI tutor that learns from your mistakes, and a practice engine that targets what you actually need to improve — all free at the core. We believe your zip code or your family's budget should not determine your ceiling.

What we do differently

  • Adaptive study plans — built around your test date, goals, and the topics you keep missing.
  • AI tutor — explains why you got something wrong and what to do next, not just the right answer.
  • Desirable difficulty — we calibrate questions so you are always stretching, not wasting time on what you already know.
  • Actually free — no paywall on the core prep. Premium unlocks extras, not basics.

Who is building this

ClassVal is being built by Amr Bhimani, a high school student who spends most of his time thinking about how to make people do better on the SAT. What started as a personal project has grown into a platform used by over 200 students.

How we work

  • Rigor over hype. We measure by whether students actually improve, not by marketing claims.
  • Students first. Every feature is judged by whether it helps a real person studying for a real test.
  • Access is the point. If a student cannot afford it, we should still have something excellent to give them.
